Created as part of I Extend My Arms, this moving-image work reimagines the traditional monarch’s address through a queer and trans lens. Using satire, performance and ceremonial imagery, Lewis G. Burton considers power, belonging, national identity and who is permitted to imagine themselves at the centre of culture.

REBIRTH, 2025

Live performance, INFERNO 10th Anniversary

Created for the tenth anniversary of Lewis’s club night and collective INFERNO, REBIRTH is a ritual performance about transformation, death and renewal. Drawing from a decade of Lewis G. Burton’s performance practice, the work brings together costume, music, movement and long-term collaborators to mark both an ending and the beginning of a new artistic chapter.
